I have been with Dr. Amy since 2007. I started out as a Certified Orthodontic Assistant/Clinical Coordinator, then became the Treatment Coordinator in 2019. As the Treatment Coordinator, my main job is to educate patients about orthodontics and their treatment options. Some of my duties include greeting and welcoming them to our office, reviewing their medical and dental history, discussing recommended treatments and reviewing financial options.

My favorite part of my job is meeting and getting to know our patients and their families. I enjoy watching them grow, and absolutely love watching their transformations! I love the friendly fun atmosphere in our office and the beautiful ladies I work with day in and day out. They make work fun!

I am married to Scot. We have four children and eight beautiful grandchildren. When we get free time, we love riding our side by side, spending time on our family sternwheeler, and spoiling our grandbabies!

I work with our patients throughout their treatment plan: adjusting appliances and making sure you are on track with your treatment plan. I love getting to interact with our smiling patients everyday!

My husband Rory and I have two children, a sweet funny little girl named Lily and a wild keep you on your toes little boy named Evan. Our evenings are spent running them where they need to be and helping them take care of their animals. When we do get quiet time we just enjoy being outdoors or having family movie night.

My background is in accounting and office management. I have an Associates Degree in Accounting from Washington State Community College and was employed for 37 years with a small accounting firm in Parkersburg, WV. At Smith Orthodontics, I assist at the front office with phone calls, making appointments, and greeting patients, and I serve as the in-house accountant and office manager.

My passion is helping and supporting people and watching them grow and succeed. Joining Smith Orthodontics where I can use my current skills, learn new skills, and support Dr. Smith and the rest of the staff has been a wonderful opportunity. We are a team that works hard each day to make our patients feel important and cared for during their time in the office.

I enjoy interacting with the patients and their families as they go through the treatment process. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chuck, reading, walking, traveling, and volunteering at my church.

Rene | Appointment Coordinator / Insurance Coordinator

I joined our team in April 2019. Prior to working in orthodontics, I attended Washington State Community College for 3 years. I also have 10 years of experience in retail management and customer service.

The people I work with make this practice great! Aside from scheduling appointments and being one of the first faces our patients see, I also coordinate insurance claims and payments.

I am a proud mama to a fun loving, rotten boy named Gabriel. In my free time, I love to be outdoors hiking, camping, and kayaking. I also enjoy reading and listening to music - classic rock is my favorite.

I live here in Parkersburg with my two dogs, Bella the chihuahua and Pepper the pug along with many house plants. When the weather is nice, I enjoy camping and hiking, and my indoor activities include reading books and playing video games.

I have worked in the medical field for over 10 years but this is my first time in orthodontics. I am a proud wife to a Navy/Army veteran, whom I have four beautiful girls with, ages 12, 9, 6 and 5. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, fishing, crocheting and sewing.
