Our Staff
We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is certified by the West Virginia Dental Board of Expanded Duties Assisting, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. In fact, we have combined over 30 years of experience in dentistry and orthodontics.
We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars on infection control, Invisalign and training offered through the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting.
Heather Ferguson
Heather is the newest member of our Smith Orthodontics Family. She is the very proud mother of three teenagers. She lives in Washington, WV, and enjoys spending time with her family, watching sporting events (Go Mountaineers) and watching her teens in their many activities.
Judy Boley
Judy has worked for the Gerber Family for over 11 years as an orthodontic assistant and receptionist. Judy lives in Newport, OH. She is married and has four wonderful children and three grandsons. She enjoys camping with friends and spending oodles of time with her grandsons.
Serena Eddy
Serena began her orthodontic career with Dr. Smith’s father over 23 years ago. She loves working with patients of all ages and getting to know each and every one. Serena lives in Parkersburg and she is very proud to be owned by three very spoiled cats. Some of her hobbies include reading and watching independent movies.
Vicka Edgar
Vicka has worked with the Gerber family for over 21 years. She has worked for Dr. Smith’s grandfather and her father. Vicka is a registered radiology technician, originally from Akron, OH. She is married and has three children and one granddaughter. She lives in Newport, OH, and is a proud supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoys playing with her granddaughter and singing with her church friends.
